Developers have submitted an application to the Boston Planning and Development Agency for a 27-unit mixed-use project in East Boston’s Orient Heights neighborhood.
The 9,409-square-foot project site at the intersection of Boardman, Saratoga and Ford streets is currently occupied by a single-story commercial building.
The developer, Quincy-based MG2 Group, is proposing a 4-story, 28,050-square-foot building with 25 at-grade parking spaces and 1,630 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. The residential units will be divided between a mix of 12 one-bedroom units roughly 782 square feet in size and 15 two-bedroom units roughly 882 square feet in size.
The BPDA will have to grant MG2 zoning relief on a number of items including height and floor-area ratio, currently set at 35 feet and 1.0 for the site, respectively.
