Massachusetts residents working at banks, credit unions and mortgage companies have contributed about $57,000 to presidential campaigns in 2020, according to data through Oct. 14 from the Federal Elections Commission.

About $39,200 was donated to former vice president Joe Biden’s campaign committee, while about $12,700 went to President Donald Trump’s reelection committee. Banker & Tradesman’s analysis excluded investment bankers.

About $5,400 was made to other presidential campaigns, including those for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

Nearly 160 employees made contributions in 2020, many of them making multiple contributions throughout the year. Citizens Bank had the most employees contributing to campaigns, with 14.

The average aggregate of contributions per employee was about $360, and the median was $200.
