Siemens Industry Inc. has expanded its five-office Greater Boston building technologies operations by 25 percent with the hiring of an additional 23 employees.
The reorganization brings Siemens’ regional workforce up to 350 employees at offices in Canton, Newton, Boston, New Bedford and Cranston, Rhode Island.
Along with the staffing increase, a new organizational structure for Siemens’ building automation, fire and security teams is designed to prepare for future growth in the market and its ability to deliver innovative technologies including prefabrication and LEAN construction techniques, Siemens announced in a press release.
“By refining our internal processes and enhancing our project staffing, we will increase productivity and drive efficiencies, thereby reducing time-to-market and overall cost,” Boston branch general manager Jaime Paris Boisvert said in a statement. “This includes utilizing new methods of execution and introducing new technologies to enable quicker response rates, shorter lead times and improved quality.”
The expanded building automation staff is being reorganized into three teams, each led by a dedicated operations manager. The fire and security division has added an engineering supervisor who is a fire protection engineer.
