Architectural Resources Cambridge (ARC) has been hired by Boston College to renovate their 70,000-square-foot property located at 2121 Commonwealth Ave.

ARC will provide design services for interior renovations of administrative and support space for the Chancery Building on the university’s Brighton campus. The new facility is designed to bring natural light into each floor plate and an infill addition to replace part of the existing building will provide additional space and a multi-story sky-lit atrium, according to a statement.

"We’re very pleased to be working with Boston College as they implement their new institutional master plan," said ARC President Philip Laird, who will also head the design team for the project. ARC has worked with BC on other projects, including 72,000-square-foot Yawkey Athletic Center, the 272,500-square-foot Division 1A Alumni Stadium and the Commonwealth Avenue garage, all on the Chestnut Hill campus.
