Wellesley-based Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Town and Country Real Estate has merged with Prudential Advantage Real Estate, a 20-agent brokerage based in Needham. The transaction gives Town and Country Real Estate a total of three offices in the greater Boston area and more than 75 agents.

"We’re thrilled to combine forces with Advantage Real Estate," said Town and Country Real Estate Broker/Owner Gail Lockberg in a statement. "Broker Jill Finkelstein and her agents are well respected throughout the marketplace and they will add enormous value to our current team."

Prudential Advantage will be rebranded as part of Berkshire Hathaway. The newly merged brokerages will serve the Boston, Wellesley, Needham and Newton markets.

"We’ve wanted to expand our business into additional markets, and Advantage Real Estate is just the right fit for us," said Gary Lockberg, chief financial officer for Town and Country Real Estate, in a statement.
