California real estate investment trust Alexandria Real Estate Equities, a large Cambridge landlord and operator of 38 properties with more than 3 million square feet in Cambridge and Greater Boston, has reported fourth-quarter net income of $28.2 million, compared to $25 million in the same period a year ago, a 12.8 percent increase.
In 2008, the trust reported net income of $122.9 million, compared to $93.7 million in 2007, a 31.2 percent jump.
