A Boston man has been charged with embezzling $368,000 from the employee 401(k) plan at the financial services company where he worked.

Federal prosecutors say 52-year-old Mark Harrington of West Roxbury was vice president and controller for Anchor Capital Advisors LLC, and in that capacity acted as administrator for the plan.

The alleged embezzlement occurred from July through December last year. Harrington was fired in January. (AP)
