John Brabazon recently joined the Savings Bank Life Insurance Co. of Massachusetts as senior vice president and chief financial officer at the company’s Woburn headquarters.
Brabazon has more than 25 years of financial management experience, most recently as a vice president and controller at Hartford Investment Management Co., a subsidiary of The Hartford. Previously, he worked as vice president and global investment controller at Manulife Financial and as vice president and assistant corporate controller at the Hanover Insurance Group. Before joining the insurance industry, he worked for Ernst & Young in Boston.
Brabazon sits on the board of trustees at the Milford Regional Medical Center and serves as treasurer and chairman of its finance committee. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a master of science in banking and financial services from Boston University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute.
