James Guarente James Guarente has been promoted to senior project manager at GZA GeoEnvironmental’s Metro Boston office.

A resident of Nashua, N.H., Guarente joined GZA in January 1993 as a geotechnical engineer. Currently his work focuses primarily on dam investigations/analyses and remedial repair design/construction projects. Throughout his tenure at GZA he has also served as a resident engineer during implementation and construction of several multi-million dollar dam repair/improvement projects, according to a statement.

He is a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Pennsylvania. Guarente is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of State Dam Safety Officials.
