Lynne S. Johnson, a lifelong Reading resident, has been promoted to senior vice president and chief lending officer at Reading Co-operative Bank. 

In this role, Johnson will be responsible for developing all policies, plans and procedures for managing the bank’s residential and commercial lending divisions and oversee loan administration, which services the bank’s entire loan portfolio.

Johnson joined Reading Co-operative Bank in 1987 and has performed many responsibilities including branch administration, operations and loan collections. She most recently served as vice president, overseeing and managing the bank’s residential loan department.  Previously she held positions in branch operations and financial control with U.S. Trust and Shawmut.

Johnson has been instrumental in growing and improving Reading Co-operative Bank during her 20 year career, the bank said.
