Realtors Elissa K. Rogovin and Cathy A. Messing with Karp, Liberman, & Kern Sotheby’s International Realty, in Newton have been granted the Accredited Buyer Representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council Inc. of the National Association of Realtors.

Certification comes only after successfully completing a comprehensive course in buyer representation and submitting documentation verifying professional experience, according to Rogovin. 

Rogovin and Messing have also been named the Massachusetts real estate experts for the National Association of Divorce for Women and Children, an organization founded by Joanie Winberg, to empower women during and after divorce to regain their confidence, build self-esteem, and create a foundation of life skills to enhance and improve the quality of life for themselves and their children. 

"We really hope to alleviate the stress of home buying and selling decisions as a real estate resource for women going through divorce," said Rogovin. "We have close working relationships with mortgage brokers, real estate attorneys, and other vendors key to the home buying and selling process that we will share with these women."
