Stoneham police are currently searching for a suspect who robbed a Citizen’s Bank and who they believe may be responsible for similar incidents in nearby towns.

On Oct. 24, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police received a report that a man entered the Stop & Shop at 259 Main St. and passed a note demanding money to the teller at the Citizen’s Bank counter. No weapon was shown. The suspect then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The teller described the man as in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, with tan skin and wearing a dark knit cap,

big sunglasses, a black coat, blue jeans and sneakers.

same description, carried out the same style of robbery several days later, passing a note the teller at the Citizen’s Bank at the

299 Chelmsford St. Stop & Shop. A third incident occurred in Reading as well.
