The Garthwaite Center for Science and Art at The Cambridge School of Weston in Weston, has been recognized with a 2008 Beyond Green award from the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council, acknowledging the school’s commitment to high-performance sustainable construction.
The Garthwaite Center, an award-winning, 21,000-square-foot, environmentally-friendly facility designed by Architerra Inc. of Boston, and built by Consigli Construction Co. of Milford, meets LEED Platinum standards, as outlined by the United States Green Building Council.
Award winners will be recognized at an event in February on Capitol Hill, and partake in an education session to explore obstacles and opportunities for delivering high-performance green buildings, Consigli said in a statement.
