The New England Financial Marketing Association (NEFMA) and The Warren Group hosted the Best in Marketing Awards this year – and despite several snowy setbacks, hundreds of bankers and agency partners arrived from all over the region for a sold-out celebration.

Held on Jan. 29 in the midst of the NEFMA Winter Conference, the awards dinner feted winners in a variety of categories, including social media campaigns, print ads, radio spots, television commercials and alternative marketing techniques.

Drawing from hundreds of submissions, the judges – Sam Harrison, owner, Linett & Harrison, a full-service marketing, advertising and branding agency; Laura Pomerene, marketing director, First National Bank and Trust; and Theresa Wendhausen, branding and communications officer, First National Bank and Trust – considered not only the marketing materials, but also the impact they had.

More than 200 winners and guests assembled in the Marketing Hall of Fame, a paparazzi-rich red carpet inside the Crowne Plaza Natick, posing for photos before proceeding to the awards dinner at The Verve, a cozy, laughter-filled affair led by master of ceremonies Adam Cupples, assistant vice president and digital marketing manager of HarborOne Bank, and vice president of NEFMA.

Recognizing “individuals and companies who go the extra mile every day and have the courage and vision to go outside of the status quo,” the 2015 Best in Marketing Awards may have been one night, but the winners are financial marketing superstars all year long.
