Sharon Credit Union Chief Operating Officer Mark Emerson retired from the role on Jan. 23 after 13 years of service.

“We will miss his leadership, expertise and friendship,” Jim Carlson, president of Sharon Credit Union, said in a statement.  “All of us wish him the very best in his retirement.”

During Emerson’s tenure, Sharon Credit Union doubled its asset size, while increasing the depth and range of products and services.

“I know I have benefitted greatly from being surrounded by such a talented and dedicated staff, as has the credit union as a whole,” Emerson said in a statement. “I am looking forward to an active retirement, and I leave Sharon Credit Union with a sense of fulfillment and complete confidence that the organization will continue to grow and prosper long into the future.”
