Construction of a cultivation facility generating 7,500 pounds of marijuana flower and 400,000 infused products is on track for a summer opening in southeastern Massachusetts.
Denver-based AmeriCann said it has completed the shell for the 30,000-square-foot building at its Freetown greenhouse.
The $7.5-million structure is the first phase of a project approved for nearly 1 million square feet of growing facilities on a 52-acre site.
Bask Inc. of Fairhaven will operate the first phase under a joint venture partnership. CBRE oversees the construction of the facility, which was designed to use up to 75 percent less energy than typical facilities by capturing sunlight.
