Commercial brokerage Savills Studley Inc. is rebranding itself as Savills Inc. and promoting its new image in commercials during the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and an upcoming online marketing campaign.

Locally, the tenant representation firm has eight brokers based at its 53 State St. offices, and is seeking to hire additional members to expand its presence in the investment sales and leasing business among all property types, said James Halepis, senior vice president in Savills’ Boston office and a former broker for Cushman & Wakefield.

With Tuesday’s announcement that JLL plans to acquire rival brokerage HFF, Savills will be keeping an eye on the transition as an opportunity to bolster its local team, Halepsis said.

“We’re looking for the right folks to grow our operations in Boston, and we’re definitely looking at what’s happening in the marketplace,” Halepsis said. “Integration is sometimes very difficult in the real estate industry, and there’s a lot of personalities involved.”

The company entered the U.S. commercial tenant advisory market with the acquisition of Studley Inc. in May 2014. Savills has added nearly 300 employees in the U.S. and Canada since 2013, and acquired brokerages in over a dozen cities.
