Norwell-based Acella Construction Corp. has completed renovation work for Thayer Academy, a private college preparatory day school in Braintree.
Site work was led by Vice President of Operations Anthony Dirubbo and was completed last month. The project focused on the Cahall Locker Rooms and Glover Lecture Hall.
In the Cahall Locker Rooms, work revolved around updating the existing boys’ and girls’ locker rooms with better and more efficient showers and bathrooms. The lighting and flooring were also upgraded, and ductwork was replaced. In Glover Hall, new acoustic panels, lighting, flooring and seating were installed in the existing lecture hall. The engineering rooms were remodeled with new millwork, ceilings, lights and flooring. New office space for the staff was also created.
This was the second project Acella Construction has completed a summer renovation project for Thayer Academy.
"Given our track record of working with educational institutions, we understood the needs and requirements of Thayer Academy’s recent project," Dave Dirubbo, president of Acella Construction, said in a statement. "We came in quickly and completed the necessary work with minimal disruption and while maintaining the level of quality we are known for before the start of the new school year."
