Boston Properties has been named a winner of a 2012 ULI Global Award for Excellence for its Atlantic Wharf development in Boston.
The 1.2 million square-foot mixed-use project restored a historic structure on Boston’s waterfront and incorporated a new 31-story skyscraper with office, residential and retail space. The building is LEED Platinum certified.
"We are thrilled that Atlantic Wharf has been recognized as one of the best projects in the world," Bryan Koop, senior vice president and regional manager for Boston Properties, said in a statement. "As Boston’s first green skyscraper, Atlantic Wharf proves that mixed-use development can be financially successful while being done with a conscious regard for the environment."
