A man suspected of robbing a Mansfield bank at gunpoint this week is also under investigation for alleged possession of child pornography.

George Englehart pleaded not guilty in Attleboro District Court on Thursday to charges including armed robbery while masked, larceny and assault by means of a dangerous weapon. He was held on $250,000 bail.

Prosecutors say after his arrest Wednesday he was seen trying to delete items from his cellphone. Police found sexually explicit photos on the phone and are now conducting a forensic investigation.

The Sun Chronicle reports that the 50-year-old Englehart’s lawyer argued that no one was hurt in the robbery and the weapon turned out to be a pellet gun. He also objected to the prosecution raising the child porn allegations before charges were issued.
