Taunton-based Bristol County Savings Bank, and particularly the staff from its Franklin office, is scheduled to hold a free homebuyers training seminar on Oct. 19 at Hawthorne Suites, 835 Upper Union St. in Franklin, from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Frank Cusanno, a mortgage consultant with the bank, will give attendees a primer on financing options, down payment requirements and award and grant availability to fund the purchase of a home, the bank said in a statement. In addition to Cusanno, the evening will feature a number of guest speakers, including: Goretti Joaquim from the MassHousing Finance Agency; Attorney Cliff Monac with the law offices of Clifford A. Monac; and Ben Derouchie from the Credit Bureau of Connecticut.
Those attending and approved for a mortgage with Bristol County Savings Bank will receive a $300 credit towards closing costs. Reservations are required and seating is limited, the bank said. Those interested in attending should call 800-643-2272 to reserve a seat.
