The Building Owners and Managers Association of Boston (BOMA Boston), a division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, announced "The Office Building of the Year" (TOBY) award winners at its annual BOMA Boston TOBY and Industry Awards on Nov. 14 at the Westin Copley Place.
TOBY categories are separated by total square footage and building type including corporate facility, government building and sustainable building.
BOMA Boston honored the following 13 buildings with TOBY awards:
• More than 1 million square feet: 53 State St., owned by 53 State Street Lessee LLC, managed by Lincoln Property Co.
• 500,000 to 1 million square feet: Seaport East, owned by East Office Limited Partnership/Pembroke Real Estate, managed by CBRE | New England
• 250,000 to 500,000 square feet: 40 Broad St., owned by TIAA-CREF Real Estate Management Core Property Fund, managed by Lincoln Property Co.
• 100,000 to 250,000 square feet: Framingham Corporate Center, owned by Colony Realty Partners LLC, managed by Lincoln Property Co.
• Less than 100,000 square feet: 21 Custom House St., owned by Aman Inc. and managed by Jones Lang LaSalle
• Corporate Facility: 73 Tremont St., owned by 73 Tremont Realty LLC, managed by Colliers International
• Government Building: 1550 MAIN, owned by Massachusetts Development Authority, managed by CBRE New England
• Earth Award: Federal Reserve Plaza, owned and managed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
• Historical Building: One Liberty Square, owned by the One Liberty Square LLC, managed by Lincoln Property Co.
• Renovated Building: One Federal Street, owned and managed by Tishman Speyer
• Industrial Office Park: 55 Lyman St., owned by The Realty Associates Fund IX LP, managed by Lincoln Property Co.
• Suburban Mid-Rise: Brickstone Square, owned by Pearl Mark Real Estate Partners LLC, managed by CBRE | New England
• Suburban Low-Rise: Westboro Executive Park, owned by Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, managed by Jones Lang LaSalle Americas Inc.
Mark Tassinari, executive vice president and partner of CBRE | New England, was named executive of the year. BOMA Boston also awarded several industry awards to individuals or companies who have shown outstanding service and dedication to the industry. Those winners are as follows:

• Mid-Rise Property Manager of the Year: Maria Farias, BioMed Realty Inc.
• Low-Rise Property Manager of the Year: Charleen Taylor, Jones Lang LaSalle
