Boston Private Bank & Trust Co. has appointed Michael S. Cohen senior vice president and director of operations.  Cohen will be responsible for ensuring that all operational components are running smoothly and efficiently across all areas of the bank.

Cohen has more than 30 years of experience in banking. Prior to joining Boston Private Bank & Trust, he served as vice president of loan operations at Blue Hills Bank.  Previous to this position, Cohen served as vice president of credit operations at Rockland Trust and as senior vice president of client services at Citizens Bank, and vice president of loan operations at State Street Bank.

"Mike’s wealth of experience managing various deposit and loan operations is an excellent resource for the bank," said George G. Schwartz, chief operating officer in a statement. "I’m confident that his expertise will enable us to continue to develop and maintain our excellent track record in client service and risk management."

Cohen earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University and received a certificate in advanced management from Babson College.
