The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has promoted Matt Burke to senior vice president, chief financial officer and bank treasurer.

Burke joined the bank in 2012 and was previously vice president and director of accounting and finance. Prior to joining Cape Cod Five, Burke was the controller for a community bank and an audit supervisor for a leading firm in Boston. Before beginning a career in finance, Burke spent eight years as a field artillery sergeant in The Massachusetts Army National Guard and United States Army.

"Matt has managed our finance and accounting functions in an outstanding manner, putting in place many new systems, strategies and processes to meet the ever evolving needs of the bank. He will play a critical role on the senior management team in guiding the Bank’s financial operations," Dorothy A. Savarese, president and CEO of The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, said in a statement.
