Aguinaldo Fonseca (L), VP of the MultiCultural Center and Prime Minister Neves, in conversation.Last Friday, the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, Jose Maria Neves, visited HarborOne’s MultiCultural Banking Center in Brockton.

Neves was accompanied by Cape Verdean Ambassador Fatima Veiga, and the Consul General Pedro Carvalho, according to a statement. The guests attended a presentation by HarborOne CEO James W. Blake, who explained why the center was created, the residents it serves and the success it has experienced.

Veiga and Neves also spoke to an group of people which included delegates and local Cape Verdean leaders, according to a statement. Neves suggested that Cape Verde should have a similar center and proposed that his government continue to work with HarborOne on this and other projects.
