First Niagara Financial Group Inc. has appointment Jeremy Casey as vice president of small business banking for Central and Western Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut.

Casey will work with local businesses under $2 million in sales, maintaining an office in West Springfield. He will report directly to first vice president and small business team leader, Thomas Phillips.

Casey comes to First Niagara from Westfield Bank, where he served as assistant vice president and commercial services officer for seven years.

"Jeremy brings with him nearly a decade of successful experience working to assist local businesses and organizations with their growth and development." Phillips said in a statement. "We are excited to welcome Jeremy to our team, and are confident his enthusiasm for community engagement will benefit First Niagara’s Small Business customers."

Casey currently serves as the president of The Young Professionals Society of Greater Springfield, is a longtime Board Member of The Rotary Club of Springfield and is a member of the Young Professional Ad-hoc Committee for Springfield City Council.
