Danvers-based Mortgage Network Inc. is sponsoring the 2022 Hockey East Men’s Championship, which returns to the TD Garden in Boston for the first time since 2019.

Brian Koss, executive vice president of Mortgage Network, said in a statement that the company was proud to bring the Hockey East Men’s Championship back to TD Garden.

“We have many hockey fans at Mortgage Network, and after all we’ve endured through the pandemic, we’re thrilled to provide a great experience where people can take a break and watch some of the best college teams in the country,” Koss said in the statement.

Mortgage Network is a privately held independent mortgage company with 35 branch offices in the Eastern U.S. and licenses in 27 states.

The tournament began last week, with all Hockey East colleges participating. After the quarterfinal matches this past weekend, semifinal games will take place on Friday, March 18 at TD Garden, and the Hockey East title game will be played on Saturday, March 19. The 2020 tournament was canceled at the start of the pandemic, and the 2021 tournament was played at campus arenas.

The winner qualifies for the NCAA men’s ice hockey championship tournament. TD Garden is also hosting the 2022 NCAA Frozen Four.
