Eastern Insurance's headquarters building in Natick.Natick’s Eastern Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Boston-based Eastern Bank, has acquired Rosemary Walker Insurance Agency of Danvers.

The acquisition increases Eastern Insurance’s customer base north of Boston, where it already has eight locations, the company said.

Specifics of the transaction were not disclosed.

Eastern said it will retain Rosemary Walker’s Al DeCristoforo, who will provide service to existing customers. Rosemary Walker Insurance, located at 74 Elm St., will merge with Eastern’s existing office in Danvers "in the future," according to a statement from Eastern. 

In the last year, Eastern has added four new locations in Danvers, Northborough, Norwell and Warwick, RI.

Rosemary Walker Insurance was founded in 1970 in Danvers by Rosemary Walker DeCristoforo.

In all, Eastern Insurance has 27 locations in eastern and central Massachusetts and parts of Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, and serves more than 70,000 individuals and businesses.
