Lebanon, New Hampshire-based developer Norwich Partners has put the finishing touches on its new Envoy Hotel in Boston’s Seaport District, a 136-room property that will be managed by Boston-based Pyramid Hotel Group under Marriott’s Autograph Collection boutique brand.
The hotel began accepting guests in June and recently completed its ground-level Outlook Kitchen and Bar, which features a seasonally-driven menu by executive chef David Verdo of Boston. The Sleeper Street hotel also contains Lookout Rooftop Bar, a 4,000-square-foot roof deck overlooking the Fort Point Channel. The interior features reclaimed woods, modern finishes and high-tech amenities including a touch-screen workstation converted from a billiards table and an interactive lobby wall of heat-sensing lightbulbs.
Guest suites have floor-to-ceiling windows with skyline and Seaport District views. The hotel was advertising weekday rates ranging from $379 to $554 this week.
Autograph Collection is Marriott’s collection of 90 custom-designed hotels. The format was created in 2010 to appeal to younger travelers in urban destinations, primarily through conversion of existing Marriott hotels, but has expanded to include a major new development component.
Norwich Partners has developed nearly 20 hotels, primarily in New England and Florida, including another Fort Point property, the Residence Inn by Marriott on Congress Street.
