Where: Cambridge

Built: 2019-2021

John Moriarty and Assoc. and Consigli Construction have completed the framing work at 350 and 450 Water St. at DivcoWest’s 4.5 million-square-foot Cambridge Crossing development.

Designed by Perkins & Will, 350 Water St. will be a 501,000-square-foot state-of-the-art lab building, while NBBJ designed the 405,000-square-foot 450 Water St. Both buildings are seeking LEED Gold, WiredScore and WELL certifications, and feature chilled beam systems and solar shading fins that reduce heat gain.

The two buildings will serve as the U.S. research headquarters for Sanofi and a projected workforce of 3,000.

Approximately 1.7 million square feet of commercial space is leased and preleased at CX to Sanofi, Bristol Myers Squibb, Philips North America and Cerevel Therapeutics. The development has 110,000 square feet available at 250 Water St. and 600,000 square feet at two future buildings.

They Said It:

“These milestones signify tremendous progress at the site during what has been an unprecedented year. Now more than ever, we are committed to our goal of creating an interconnected ecosystem at CX in which innovative leaders in science and technology, like Sanofi, can create cutting-edge solutions to major healthcare issues impacting the world.”
