Jonathan P. Ivans has joined Whitinsville-based UniBank as vice president of compliance and security.

Ivans is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, vendor management, business continuity programs and security for the bank.

He has more than 15 years of experience in banking, most recently as a compliance consultant. Previously, he was employed with Shatswell, MacLeod & Co. Prior to his career with Shatswell, he was employed by BB&T, Winston-Salem, N.C., where his roles included internal auditor, corporate training instructor and area operations manager.

UniBank also announced that Michael H. Arnold has joined its UniPayDirect Inc. subsidiary as sales officer.

Arnold will develop partner bank relationships nationwide to expand and grow the subsidiary through the sale of UniPayDirect,  a proprietary solution for secure tax and fee payment processing.  

Arnold has more than 24 years of sales management experience in the banking industry. Most recently he was employed by Forward National Co., a subsidiary of Milford National Bank and Trust.
