John Hancock has purchased a 649,184-square-foot office park in Wellesley from Equity Office Properties for $237 million, a source with knowledge of the deal confirmed. John Hancock did not respond to a request for confirmation by press time.
The Wellesley Office Park, located at the intersection of Route 128/Interstate-95 and Route 9, is 90 percent leased to tenants including AXA Equitable Life Insurance, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Boston-based HFF’s Coleman Benedict and Ben Sayles exclusively represented Equity Office Properties in the transaction.
