Stephen B. Jones has joined Woburn-based Northern Bank & Trust Co. as vice president/retail sales manager.

Jones has more than 20 years of retail banking experience, most recently as executive vice president of retail banking at Riverbank in North Andover prior to its acquisition by People’s United Bank.

His retail-banking career includes positions of increasing responsibility with First Mutual of Boston, Grove Bank, Internet-based Lighthouse Bank and The Provident Bank. He also has experience in retail banking and marketing consulting with Compass Consulting Group and as partner and was co-owner of Independence Direct Inc., a database management and direct mail production company focusing on financial services.
