A development partnership received approval to build 132 units of housing and a 132,000-square-foot self-storage facility at 3521-3529 Washington St. in Jamaica Plain.
SSG Development LLC and New Boston Ventures LLC will redevelop the site, currently used for warehouse space. A four-story building will contain 44 condominium units, and a five-story building will contain 88 apartments and 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, under the plans approved by the Boston Redevelopment Authority. Both buildings will have underground parking garages, and 19 units will be set aside for affordable housing.
The $80-million project will include environmental remediation. The developers also have agreed to pay $100,000 toward the planned Southwest Corridor Extension.
