A 14-story office building in the heart of Boston’s Financial District has been sold for $238.72 million, according to information filed with the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds.
LaSalle Investment Management sold the property to an LLC controlled by Synergy Investments, a real estate investment firm focused on Boston which owns around 4 million square feet of space in 10 commercial buildings in the city’s downtown and Fort Point neighborhoods, plus two in Quincy.
Financing included a $122 million mortgage through Principal Real Estate Investors, an arm of the Des Moines-based Principal Life Insurance Company, according to registry documents.
The building has 163,834 square feet of usable space, according to city land records, and is assessed at $54.88 million.
