A 140-unit apartment complex in Methuen has been sold to Lawrence-based Arrowpoint Properties for $29.3 million.

Completed in 1988, Appleton Square at 171-176 East St. contains six 3-story buildings on nearly 7 acres. Community amenities include a remodeled clubhouse with leasing office, business center, cyber cafe and 24-hour fitness center, swimming pool and grilling area.

CBRE’s Simon Butler and Biria St. John represented seller Appleton Square LLC, which was the original developer, and procured the buyer.

The unit mix includes 28 one-bedroom and 112 two-bedroom units, and 53 units have been renovated since 2012.
