Edward M. PowersEdward M. Powers, a 37-year banking industry veteran, has been named senior vice president and chief lending officer at Clinton Savings Bank.

In this role, Powers will direct the bank’s retail and commercial lending business and will be a key member of the senior management team, according to a statement. Before joining Clinton Savings Bank, Powers was a senior vice president in the commercial lending group at Flagship Bank/People’s United Bank.

"I believe it is critical for each member of senior management to be a seasoned professional, who can draw on their experience to help ensure the success of Clinton Savings Bank," said Robert J. Paulhus Jr., president and CEO. "To have someone like Ed, who has a stellar, proven track record, leading our lending team is a tremendous benefit to our bank, our staff and our customers."

Powers also serves as the director of the Mohegan Council, Boy Scouts of America, is a member of the Management Committee for the Central Massachusetts YMCA and is a member of the Worcester Economic Club.
