John S. Hall, senior vice president and division manager of the commercial banking division at Salem Five Bank, has been elected 2011 chairman of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce.
Hall succeeds 2010 Chair Rosalin Acosta, wealth market leader, New England, TD Wealth Management, according to a statement.
Hall has spent the last 14 years at Salem Five Bank. Previously, he had a 28-year career at Shawmut Bank in Boston, holding several executive management positions in commercial banking, private banking and retail banking.
"During my term as chairman, I would like the North Shore Chamber to focus on lowering the cost of doing business in our region and on helping build an environment that will enhance business growth; and, in turn, result in the creation of more jobs for the people who live in our region," said Hall. "I believe the chamber needs to use its credibility and influence and continue to foster cooperative relationships within the regions cities and towns and focus on regional improvements and the implementation of business-friendly policies, procedures and legislation."
