A developer is proposing expansion of a Back Bay property that includes ground-floor tenant Atlantic Fish Co. with housing, office and additional restaurant space.

Palm Beach, Florida-based Tavistock Development Co. seeks to add a 5-story, 68,000-square-foot building at 761-793 Boylston St. The project would add nine housing units, 23,500 square feet of office space and retain 17,000 square feet of restaurant space.

The project would retain the historic facade while constructing the new building to the rear, according to a notification letter submitted to the Boston Planning and Development Agency.

Tavistock proposes to convert 32,800 square feet of retail space into other uses.

The size of the project conforms with height and floor area ratio limits, attorney Dennis Quilty of McDermott, Quilty & Miller LLP wrote.

Tavistock owns a group of restaurants including Atlantic Fish and Abe & Louie’s, and owns a pair of parcels on Commercial Wharf in Boston’s North End where it floated plans for a 140-room hotel in 2019.
