A $50M Tropical Paradise
Month after month The Teller weeps at new housing reports and statistics from various homebuilder associations. It’s depressing to walk past holes in the ground around Boston. But apparently builder confidence is high as a kite in Costa Rica, where plans for a 14-story, penthouse laden building have been unveiled.
A company marketing the property notes "Costa Ricans experience the longest life expectancy rates in the world." Of course – life is good wasting away the day in oceanfront luxury homes. Days are spent floating around in infinity pools with pina coladas in hand and taking strolls on white sandy beaches. If that gets too boring, come enjoy the private tennis court and bi-level fitness center.
The building will feature the world’s biggest penthouse, a 10-bedroom, 68,459-square-foot fantasy suite with a hefty price tag of $51 million. There’s enough room to have 42 of your closest friends for dinner – and they can arrive in style on a private helipad.
Smart reporters over at the Wall Street Journal figured the penthouse is TEN TIMES the size of the standard American mansion. So why don’t you and your nine closest friends chip in on the place? The Teller will be your first visitor.
