William A. Berry & Son Inc. has completed construction of two new residence halls at Lesley University in Cambridge.

The project is Lesley’s first ground-up construction since 1972 and is the result of a collaborative planning process of community members and the university, along with Cambridge architectural firm Brunner/Cott.

Located on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Wendell Street, the two buildings include new retail space as well as student living areas. One building is a five-story residence hall with retail space on the front of the first floor. The second building is a three-story wood frame residence hall designed to complement the residential character of Wendell Street. Together, the two buildings will house 98 students.

"We are thrilled to hand over these two unique residence halls on time and in concert with Lesley’s Centennial Year celebration," said Peter Campot, CEO of William A. Berry & Son. "It is a compliment to Lesley’s vision, strategic planning and collaborative approach that it integrated these new residences so successfully into the local community."
