Eyewear brand Warby Parker and a pair of new restaurants will arrive at Somerville’s Assembly Row in 2021, developer Federal Realty Investment Trust announced.
The eyewear brand will be located on the ground floor of a 500-unit apartment building under construction at the mixed-use development.
Parla, which also has a location in Boston’s North End, offers a “whimsical departure from traditional Italian-American fare,” Federal Realty said, including an expansive craft cocktail list. La Macaron, a French patisserie chain that has just one New England location so far, will open its first Massachusetts store at Assembly Row.
The new arrivals follow recent announcements by Federal Realty of imminent openings by Shake Shake, Sephora and CVS at Assembly Row.
“In our current retail environment, these leases demonstrate the strength of the Assembly Row concept and the desire from a broad range of retailers and restaurants to partner with a first-class owner and developer,” Assembly Row General Manager David Middletown said in a statement.
