The public market being built in Worcester’s Canal District will offer beer, courtesy of a Wachusett Brewing Co. taproom.

The Worcester Public Market, under construction and aiming to open this summer, will face the city’s Kelly Square, near the planned Worcester Red Sox stadium and a host of new development. The 3,000-square-foot taproom will open onto a plaza and serve the market’s food court, according to MassLive.

The Public Market will be a local produce and prepared food market “in the European tradition” and located in a brand-new building, according to its website.
