Sandra A. Brock was recently promoted to chief engineer at Nitsch Engineering in Boston.

Brock is a civil engineer with 23 years of experience, and has been with Nitsch for 14 years. She is one of nine shareholders of the firm, the company said.

Brock is currently an instructor for the Arnold Arboretum’s Landscape Design Program "Site Engineering" course, and she will be speaking at the upcoming Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions (MACC) annual environmental conference on the various elements of sustainable site design.

Nitsch Engineering is a civil engineering, land surveying, transportation engineering, sustainable site consulting, planning, and GIS firm that provides services on private development, public building, and infrastructure projects.
